Children and young people are very welcome at the 10.30am service on Sunday mornings at St Aldhelm's and there are special groups that they can join if they want:
From birth till the end of the Reception year there are lots of toys for babies and toddlers and there are two people each week to care for the children. They will come and fetch you if your child needs you.
For Years 1 - 6, Explorers are a lively bunch of 5-11 year olds who explore what it means to know, love and follow Jesus.
A group for children aged 11+ meeting during the 10.30am Sunday morning service. Using the reading that is the same as the morning service we aim to have fun, learn more about God, learn to know and love God more and we enjoy developing our own pathway as well as those around us to the Lord.
Every week except for when it's a Holy Communion service we all start together with our families in the main church for the start of the service. After about 10 minutes the children are invited to go to their groups. This happens on the 1st, 2nd,4th and 5th Sundays.
On the 3rd Sunday when it's a Holy Communion Service the children start in their groups and are brought back into Church to join their parents at about 10.40am when we share Communion together.
During School Holiday and on special occasions, the format may vary. The Sermon Series lists more details about specific dates click here or find a paper copy in the church lounge.
